Maria

Maria is a cheerful 10-year-old girl who loves reading and cooking.

Her mother left her with her grandmother at a young age and never returned. Because her grandmother is now elderly, Maria was later placed under the care of her auntie.

Her auntie provides a home, but with many responsibilities and many children to support, she cannot consistently pay for Maria's education.

Today, Maria is at risk of dropping out of school due to a lack of fees and scholastic materials — the one thing standing between her and the future she dreams of.
