Why I Built Sophiana
I lost my father when I was just a child. Overnight, my mother was left to raise my siblings and me entirely on her own. I watched her carry a weight no one should have to bear. We went without—often. A guaranteed meal, school fees, even a safe, dry place to sleep were luxuries we couldn't always count on. But she loved us fiercely.
When she passed away, the silence she left behind was deafening. I know what it means to feel completely forgotten by the world. To look around and wonder if anyone sees you struggling.
I couldn't change the pain of my past. But I realized I could change the future for those standing exactly where I stood. That is why I built the Sophiana Foundation. Today, we step in for the orphans and the elders that society walks right past. We provide hot meals, school support, and medical care—but above all, we provide family.
Because no child should ever have to grow up feeling invisible, and no elder should ever have to face their final years alone.
